TAILGATE LANDSCAPES
When you spend enough time painting, the work starts to pile up in every corner of your studio, your house, your friends’ houses, and pretty much your life in general.
People always ask, “Do you sell these paintings?” or “Where do you show them?” and the answer has always been, “No and nowhere.” Eventually, you start to think maybe it’s time to let a few of them move on.
I’ve never had a serious focus on “making art.” It’s more about finding any excuse to be outside, enjoying the day, tuning into fleeting moments, and capturing bits of time and energy in an otherwise busy life. Most of the time, I’m joined by a partner, a beverage, some tunes, and, almost without fail, a tailgate for a studio.
